This isn't an open call for anyone who wants to do a shoot, but a search for one very specific person to collaborate with for several shoots.
Looking for a model, adult woman, for some special effect makeup shoots, this isn't a paying job but a random thing to do. Open to PEI only, unless you really love traveling a lot to PEI. There's no set schedule, the frequency of shoots all depends on the model's schedule for the most part, but probably no more than once a month, possibly only a couple times a year even, whatever time and ideas permit.
I'm looking for someone comfortable being in front of a camera, not necessarily an actual model or someone with a lot of experience, but at least open to just doing it without needing a great deal of guidance all the time. I'd prefer someone who has never worked with me before, just looking for a new face to cover in prosthetic makeup. While I'm happy to meet with anyone interested, I'm not guaranteeing that we'll do a photoshoot as I'm doing this to find a very specific kind of person – that I'm not totally sure I'll find
While most of my shoots are more medieval/fantasy looking nowadays, I would be looking for someone comfortable with as broad a range of shoots as possible. Best example is if you'd be fine doing a shoot similar to any of the ones pictured here – if for some reason this got reposted and the picture no longer exists, concepts range from simple headshots, traditional modelling, costume shots, swimsuit to boudoir.
If it matters, my main focus in terms of makeup design is demon-oriented, not in a horror sense, but more a fantasy sense. I don't do alien, zombies, or really anything else, just not my area of interest. From time to time, if a good idea comes along, I will try a horror shoot, but it's rare these days.
I'm based out of Hunter River, I generally prefer doing makeup out of my workshop – it's gets too cumbersome packing and unpacking and then packing everything back up. I don't mind if you want to bring a friend along, but make sure they're patient as the makeup can take at least 90 minutes, sometimes 3 hours, and I might be putting them to work depending on the shoot.
Again, this is a volunteer only thing, it's just a weird hobby since I sell special effects prosthetic makeup, there's no real point to it or anything, just a thing to do – if that makes sense to you and everyone already thinks you're a bit odd, than this might be for you.
