70s Demon Roller Girl

I've been wanting to do a shoot like this for ages now, the biggest stumbling block was the skates. Brand new they're too expensive, 2nd hand they're okay but limited and I'd have to hope to eventually find someone just the right size who could even use them - so the idea just sat on the backburner for years now.

A couple months ago, a model who I work with on occasion posted a video of her in roller skates so it pretty much fell into place right away at that point. It took a while to source all the costume, oddly enough none of these pieces are immediately available in Canada - at least not where I live and even then, very limited elsewhere.

But that was the hardest part really, just picking things out that looked and felt 70s enough, ordering them online and waiting.

Oddly enough the hardest element of all this was the shirt. I didn't want a blank, single colour shirt, I really wanted that 3/4 length sleeve look and specifically with pink sleeves, but I would've settled with red. I actually found a printer online who actually carried this style, but for some reason cancelled the order without telling me - I made the design myself, so I'm not sure to this day what the issue was.

Not a big deal, I found a wholesaler in Canada, ordered 2 just in case, and use those printer/iron transfers from Staples to do the image - while is slightly more authentic anyway, and cheaper, and worked perfectly.

Quo'Sharish Demon

The second shoot I got to do last Sunday.

This piece, the Quo'Sharish Demon, is sort of in the same vein as the Koza Horns, it's specifically meant to be a quick application that gives a decently dramatic look. This might've taken slightly less time than the Koza Horns too, maybe 15 minutes to get the piece on and blended.

Really happy with the overall look, it was sort of made up on the day too, this wasn't a planned out shoot at all.
