Ren Fair Demons - Adarra Warlock

Did a shoot last week where I made the whole costume, prosthetic, props and all. I'll be doing more shoots like this from now on, so I wont' be doing as much, but it feels a lot more satisfying that what I had been doing for the last few years.

I'm still learning to sew, but I'm pretty happy with being able to turn the dress and hood/vest pieces out in one single day, that involved dyeing the fabric, cutting it all out and assembling it, it they were all from my own versions of existing patterns, just very modified. Not perfect, but I think it turned out pretty good for someone who only started about 8 months ago.

Demon Cult

This was a relatively simple shoot in concept, but it was a bugger to assemble all the elements. I also wanted to keep the makeup simple, because doing anything elaborate with 3 people is just too much work, so admittedly the "Demon" element isn't super obvious, but I'm still really happy with how the shoot turned out.

Mahkota-Amanzi Demon.

So I did a shoot a little while ago, and for this shoot the model chose to do several outfit changes. She wanted to get as much out of this as possible so I planned out a route that meandered all over the central area of the province.

We started out in Charlottetown.

And then moved onto the country, we hit a trail that went under a highway, an old house and country road, and finally a little antique store (it wasn't open, but the outside was photogenic enough).

After another outfit change, we found an old one room school house (unfortunately people were using it as their own personal garbage dump so we couldn't really go inside), and then I went the wrong way and re-discovered a lot in the middle of nowhere filled with old construction machinery, and finally a little abandoned church.

The next outfit was a one location thing, it wasn't something the model could move around in very well so we just kept it to this one spot, a long abandoned trail with a little building and covered bridge.

We then ended up in North Rustico on an old pier.

And finally the beach.
