This years round of Demons in Ugly Christmas Sweaters.I had intended to do two more, but a last minute broken mould, bad scheduling, the flu and crappy weather just made it too much work, so we've only got 5 this year. I need to plan earlier for next year, I've already got a few good ideas.

New Prosthetics
Now that Halloween is over and I sort of have some free time (although still very little) I've been working at turning out some new prosthetics. 3 new pairs of ears, 2 new large-ish horns, a few new nose pieces and 3 or 4 new full face pieces, as well as a few new Limited Run pieces. They won't all be available all at once, over the course of the next month I'll be releasing them.
Here's what's new so far. All this can be found on The Monkey Rodeo Etsy page.
Limited Run - Nyanga Demon- $55
Bone Horns - $30
FellBeast Ears - $25
Halfling Ears - $30
Banci Demon (sorta NSFW)
Tried a weirder more artsy kind of shoot, while I'm fairly happy with how it turned out - I realized this isn't my style and I need to get back to the way I used to do things.
Nyanga Demon
This shoot officially marks my return to "simpler" photo shoots. Not that they've spiraled out of control and I've never done something like in years, but I'm intentionally trying to keep to this style of shoot - while I like the more elaborate and weirder shoots, this was always my intention. While I'm aiming for simpler shoots, that doesn't mean simpler makeup, only the setup.

They Live Demons.
This shoot was a long time coming, it was suggested to me last fall after my Demon Ash vs Evil Dead shoot. The biggest stumbling block were the damned alien masks and finding the time to make them. I knew I did want to deal with makeup on several people that might limit their vision and kill my back in the application process. I wanted to keep it quick and simple.
It ended up not exactly being quick or simple. The lateness of the season meant the weather turned a little sour and it's been raining, we had to move inside - which wasn't an issue for the most part, other than it was really warm and anyone who's ever worn a latex mask knows they're not exactly air conditioned.
In order to keep the aliens from smothering to death in the masks, we had to suss out all out shots ahead of time and keep things moving while it mostly worked, it did hinder any spontaneity, so while I was going over the pictures I kept seeing other angles that would have worked, but it's too late now and I'm happy with how it turned out.
The masks themselves worked decently, I did a little fiddling with some clear plastic to make the eyes, again to facilitate everyone being able to see what was going on.
It was tricky doing "action" shots since I wanted the makeup and the masks to be clearly visible, so it limited angles and all that crap. Overall I think we were successful in doing something silly and campy.

Magenta Nyanga Demon
I did this for a quick shoot last week, it was cut a little short since the support for the horns ended up getting uncomfortable by the time the makeup was totally done. We just got a few shots really quick to at least make it worth it.

Kisari Demon
Summer is usually the best time for Demon photo shoots, but this year things just weren't working. I had two models that just seemed to flake off on me, another was just really busy, there were days where the weather turned completely sour, and things were incredibly slow business-wise early summer making doing anything fairly difficult. I got a few shoots done, most were interior shoots that could've been done any time of year, so I haven't really been able to take advantage of decent weather for shooting outdoors.
Luckily, the weather has turned decent again and I had the chance to work with a new model, we just did a random wandering about town kind of Demon shoot, nothing too overly thought out, but I'm really happy with it turned out.
